Summer Table Centerpieces
Centerpiece: 4th of July
We're getting married near the July Fourth Holiday so we're going with that theme. Our centerpieces are going to be baskets, spray painted white. Inside each basket will be a bottle of champagne, two toasting glasses, some sparklers, a couple of mini flags and some shredded red, white & blue paper for decoration. The baskets will be raffled off to someone at each table at the end of the reception. ~ Sumbitted by Angie, West Ahsley, SC
Herbs and Greenery
I am planning to use herbs and greenery for my centerpieces. I'm having a summer garden wedding. I plan to use fresh mint and rosemary mingled with some ivy and just a few flowers. ~ Sumbitted by Maria, Mendon, MA
Teapots
My sister has a collection of interesting teapots. We are filling them with small bouquets that have various flowers in them. The teapots are free, and the bouquets are from the local grocery store. The flowers only cost $4 a bunch. I have 20 tables to decorate, so this is cheap and easy. Also, it is very different because none of the teapots are the same. Great discussion pieces! ~ Sumbitted by Heather, Salem, IN
Nothing says summer on the Cape more than sand and sea shells! I collected a large array of different size shells, sand dollars, and sea glass and put them in inexpensive glass jars filled with sand. ~ Amy, Cape Cod, MA
Fish Bowl with Shells and Tapers
My wedding had a beach theme, so I bought regular round fish bowls, filled the bottoms with sand I got from the beach (I live near the beach) and bought some beautiful shells in bulk from a craft store. Then I put the shells on top of the sand and stuck a long taper candle in the middle. We had long tables outside and each table had four. It was so elegant looking and very inexpensive! ~ Submitted by Kimberly, Swampscott, MA
Sand Pail with Candles
I bought children’s tin or plastic sand buckets. I filled each bucket halfway with clean sand (sand can be purchased at a hardwareor toy store) and place a toy shovel into the sand. Then I placed pillar candle into the center of the sand and surrounded it with seashells such, starfish and sand dollars. They were whimsical and a big hit! ~ Submitted by Jessica, Baltimore, MD
Watering Cans with Daisies
I simply bought antique watering cans--different shapes and sizes, and filled them with fresh daisies. It looked so rustic! Everyone loved it! ~ Submitted by Geri, Savannah, GA
